Does my business need a website?

Ask yourself, "Does my business need 24-hour exposure 7 days a week, 365 days a year?"   The answer is obvious.  What other medium allows you to expose all the benefits of your small business to your target market at their convenience and provide a source of direct correspondence from them to you? The benefits of a website are innumerable.

Do I need a web developer or a web designer?

If you are looking for a higher end web site solution, please contact us and we can refer you to one of our affiliates.  If you are looking for an easy to administer, low cost, professional web site solution, then you have come to the right place.  How easy?  If you can use Microsoft Word©, then you can edit your web page with us.  But don’t take our word for it, take a test drive!

How much does a web site cost?

There are quite a few factors that are going to affect the ultimate cost of your web site.  EasyTrainerSites.com has two options available for our hosting customers.

Option 1:  Initial payment of $680.00 which includes the first year of hosting, and only $99/year for hosting there after.
Option 2:  Initial payment of $580.00 with 10 monthly payments of $14.99, which includes the first year of hosting, and only $99/year for hosting there after.
Other factors to consider outside the initial setup and hosting are any 3rd party marketing resources such as search engine optimization, email marketing, etc… We do have recommendations – please contact us for more information.

What’s included in my purchase?

EasyTrainerSites.com provides exactly what you see in the demo and trial version.  This includes, but is not limited too:

• Stock photos and banners
• 5 email addresses
• Unlimited number of web pages with in your site
• Live phone tutorials and setup assistance
• Tech support if needed

What is a URL?

It stands for "universal resource locator". This is the address typed in to view your web page on the Internet. For example, you would type in http://www.easytrainersites.com to access our home page.

What is a Domain Name?

A domain name is a specific web site address that you choose and register with a Domain Name Provider (a registrar of domain names ending in .com, .edu, and .gov). Our domain name is "easytrainersites.com".

Do I need a Domain Name?

You do not need a domain name initially, but you will need one when you are ready to take your site ‘Live’.

How do I choose a domain name?

Things to consider when choosing a domain name: 

• Length of the name:  If it is too long, it is easily misspelled or just a pain to type.  Try to keep it as short as possible and have a few ideas written down.  If you would like help in deciding, please feel free to contact us.
• How it looks when it is run together.  This is important and often overlooked.  Why does this matter?  Well, people read things differently.  For example: the domain name www.whorepresents.com.  This can be read two ways:  WhorePresents.com or WhoRepresents.com.  The latter is the actual name of the company, but you get the idea.  Also consider womensexpo.com.  Is it WomensExpo.com or WomenSexpo.com?  This is also a factor in search engine utilization.  Google and most other search engines ‘filter’ explicit matter by default, so if your domain name ‘accidentally’ has any combination of letters that spell any ‘filtered’ term, your site may be deemed ‘Adult Content’ by default.  Let us know if you need help or further explanation.

Do I need to hire a "local" web site designer?

Our sites are very user friendly and a ‘Web Designer’ is not needed.  That is the point behind out business model – put the power back in the hands of the people.  If you wish to hire somebody to build your site, feel free to do so.  You may also want to consider a graphics artist to design logos and/or a banner for your site.  These options are not provided by EasyTrainerSites.com, but do contact us.  We can refer you tosomeone if needed.  We’re here to help and get your site out there for the world to enjoy.

How long does it take to have a web site designed?

The time frame is determined by the size of your web site, the complexity of your page designs, and how much time you have to work on it.  Sites range from simple 3-4 page sites to larger complex sites.

I am currently hosted with AnotherPlace.com and would like to switch over to Easy Trainer Sites. How do I do this?

1. Register for either the trial version or the full version our hosting package.
2. Start building your site the way you want it.  Once you are finished, or have completed enough to your liking,
3. Let us know and we can have your domain name and your email point to your new site.

Can I choose you to design my site and use my own web hosting?

No, we only provide our All-In-One solution.  This allows for a single point of contact for support, training and questions.

What is web hosting?

Web hosting is a fee that you pay to have your site accessible on the Internet. This is what the $99/year is for.

What is site maintenance?

Site maintenance is a fee paid monthly to keep your site updated with new content that you provide. Most good web sites have new content updated regularly. Fresh content is what will keep your visitors coming back. WE DO NOT CHARGE FOR THIS SERVICE, as the whole idea behind our site design is to give you the ability to update and maintain your web site. 

Do you offer any type of discounts?

Yes, we offer discounts for schools and non profit organizations.  We also offer a Second Site Solution for new and existing customers.  You get 40% off your second hosted web site.

Why can't I find my web site in the search engines?

Once your site has been submitted to the top Search Engines they may require several weeks, or even months to actually spider and list your web site in their directory. How fast your site is listed depends on each individual Search Engines database update schedule. We recommend utilizing Google’s free Analytics so you can watch your website traffic.  We also suggest you use Guaranteed Search Engine Submit. Your site can be listed on AOL, MSN, Overture in a couple of days. Most Web site traffic and online purchases come from search engines like Google®, Yahoo!® and MSN®. That would depend on the goals of your web site. If you run a business website you would include as much information about your products or services that your customers would need to purchase from you.  With our service, we provide you with the ability to place meta tags and meta descriptions on your website as a whole, and/or on each individual page.
